Sheila & Leo Gutman have lived in Ajijic for many years and have come to think of Mexico as their home. Their children live in California, but can't resist visiting mom and dad several times a year for 'their spoiling' sessions. Living close to the airport is a real advantage to having your family visit.

Sheila has taught school for many years as well as working as an international consultant for families moving to different countries. She will be a 'forever' student of the Spanish language!

Leo spent over thirty five years in the technology sector of corporate America. He now enjoys having time to enjoy life, sports and even picking up a book in the middle of the day. Leo is fluent in Spanish having spent many years of his childhood in South America.

They raised their children in California, Japan and London and have become 'aficionados' of crossing cultures. Living in different countries and cultures can be addictive.

In their spare time (what is that?) they play tennis, enjoy local theater, music concerts, take classes, volunteer their time teaching CPR, work with local charities, travel and enjoy the good life. We love having friends and family visit this beautiful village as well as showing them a style of life they have not experienced.
